Meet Andrea Humble LMT
My name is Andrea, and I am the owner of Kneaded Energy Therapeutic Massage in Grand Junction, Colorado. The last few years have been a whirlwind! I am very blessed to have a rhriving sole practice on Main Street and many of the same clients I started with in massage school.
As a massage therapist, my ultimate goals are to:
- provide a moving experience to both the physical body as well as the intangible self
- to assist clients in becoming more proactive in their health
- ultimately help clients restore balance through somatic re-education as well as mindfulness of breath and energy
- to continue learning different modalities, treatments, and other ways to be the best possible massage therapist
- to teach others to importance of massage therapy....not only to stress reduction but also to increase better health, range of motion and pain reduction
With this awareness comes the opportunity for me to share my enthusiasm and passion for bodywork and to provide a truly decadent massage experience.
Through my utilization of a simplistic--yet multifaceted--approach that encompasses movement along with soft tissue manipulation, my clients receive a comprehensive bodywork and massage therapy for the body, mind, and spirit.
Andrea Humble - Your Massage Therapist
Born and raised in rural Colorado, I grew up in a very nurturing household on an acre of fertile farmland surrounded by animals, fresh produce and mother nature. Always taking an interest in an active and healthy lifestyle, it was a natural progression for me to move into the world of medicine and patient care. Inspired at a young age by how profound the impact, that natural therapies could have on one's life, I decided to go on to become a massage therapist after experiencing, first-hand, the incredible healing of touch personally. After some hesitation and anxiety of what would become of me and my family, I finally bit the bullet and conquered my fears about going into business for myself. Always striving for excellence, I completed the 500-hour diploma program and graduated with a 96.8 percent. I was able to take two continuing educations classes well before I graduated as well as volunteer at the local cancer treatment center. These classes and experiences had a profound influence in my practice. Later, I passed the MBLeX (National Certification Exam for Massage Therapists) with a 860 out of 900. I was honored when I was also asked to assist in the teaching and mentoring of massage therapists at my Alma Mater, the Institute of Therapeutic Massage of Western Colorado. I was also an instructor of massage practices and anatomy at ITMWC. This was a very exciting time for me as it gave me the chance, not only to hone my skills but also to share my passion and dedication to the craft. I love teaching! (I highly recommended ITMWC! It is the best program on the Western Slope.)
I am currently study new modalities as well as keeping current on new research and methods to help my clients heal and relax. In 2013/2014 I took over 100 hour of continuing education for massage therapy. This included the Auth Method for 20 CEUs as well as Level 1, 2, 3 and 4 of Advanced Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy for 32 CEUs. I've taken Sports Massage, Massage for Those Living with Cancer as well as Precision Neuromuscular Therapy classes. I also completed my 15 CEUs from Advance Training via Til Luchau. In 2015/2016, I ventured into the realm of Anatomy Trains and Rolfing. I love the lasting results this deeper work affords my clients. It is quickly becoming a favorite treatment with my clients. In the past few years I have moved into more complimentary additions to my practice. Such as heated Himalayan Salt Stone Therapy, Advanced Cupping and precussion devices to help loose tight mucles and increase circulation to prepare for deeper, more meaningful work. My session time increased to 2 hours and I learned to slow down and really be present with my clients.
